New York City February 2010!

Wow! New York City is an amazing place!
We had so much fun! They had a huge storm just a few days before we got there. There was snow everywhere! We had beautiful weather...blue skies and sun! Of course it was still freezing cold, but gorgeous!

My parents for watching our kids the other half of the time!
Traci Giles for having me over for lunch to explain NY to me and get me familiar with the maps, restaurants, places to go, etc. This seriously made our trip!!!

We saw 2 Broadway musicals! Both were awesome! South Pacific was the more traditional Broadway show...wonderful! In the Heights starring Corbin Bleu:) was more contemporary with hip hop, salsa, rap, etc. Both were great!

The food was delicious of course!!

Our first night in NY we found The Burger Joint (recommended by Traci)! It is located in the very nice Parker Meridian Hotel. You would never know it was there! You walk into the beautiful lobby...but around a corner and down at the end of a dark hall...was this greasy burger place with delicious burgers and fries!!! Perfect place for our first night in NYC!

What it takes for Aaron and Jenni to go to New York...
1. Free Southwest Airlines tickets!
2. Awesome friend like Traci G. to give us maps and advice!
3. Awesome friend like Sara to watch our kids!
4. Awesome parents to also watch our kids!
5. Amanda's coat & Liz's coat!
6. New gloves, thermals, and boots!
7. Lots of time on computer booking things (hotel, broadway show, staute of liberty, etc)!
8. A holiday weekend and an extra day off of work for Aaron!
9. Awesome father & mother-in-law to watch kids' bball games and take them to lunch!
