First Day of School 2008

Yesterday was the first day of school for these two! Abbie started 2nd grade and Caden started Kindergarten! We walked to school with Rigdon and Livi Smart...Abbie and Rigdon are in the same class and Caden and Livi are in the same class this year! The kids had a great first day!

My parents came to stay with us for 5 days...They helped us soooooo much!

Marina del Rey

Today we went to Los Angeles visit Aunt Pepper and Uncle Dick!

We went down to Marina del Rey to take a ride around the marina on the Water Bus.

We had a wonderful day of great weather, sea lions, boat ride, lunch, ice cream, and back to Pepper and Dick's house for more goodies!

Keep on Rollin'

Abbie and Caden have NEVER been roller skating...and it's been 20 years for me!

My friend Eva and I took our kids skating. We had so much fun! It took my kids a while to get used to it and there was a lot of falling. But they did have fun and have been asking me to go back.

Potty Party!

This week was potty training week! Macie is doing great...I don't want to speak too soon though! We tried to stay home this week but decided to still go to the beach, Target, and a Dodger game. She used the potty at all of these places! Yeah Macie!

I wanted to post a video of Macie's "potty dance", but couldn't quite get it working at just the right moment...it is really cute!

Macie, Abbie, and Caden all get 2 gummy bears whenever Macie goes on the potty. Abbie and Caden have been very helpful and encouraging!:)

Our New Kitchen!

We recently got new cupboards and granite countertops in our kitchen! We are really happy with it! Here are some before and after pictures. Notice the disgusting gunk around the old knobs! The new cupboards are really not as dark as they look in these pictures.

A special THANK YOU to our friend Steve Grijalva for giving up 3 days to help us reconnect our faucet, sink, garbage disposal, dishwasher, remounting the microwave, etc. We really appreciated it! And you saved us a quoted $450-$680! Hope that pizza lunch was enough!

Happy "Belated" Birthday to Aaron!

On 08-08-08 he turned 36!

Aaron and I went to Santa Barbara to celebrate...just the two of us!

We had a great time!

We have so many wonderful memories from our U.C. Santa Barbara days...so Santa Barbara is always our favorite place to go. We love to take the kids here too...but not this trip!

This is the cool booth we sat in on the night of his birthday...Pascucci Italian Restaurant on downtown State St.

Our weekend revolved around shopping, hanging out with NO schedule, and eating at great restaurants!

At Brophy Bros. we sat upstairs outside looking out over the marina...so fun!
