My mom's brother, Uncle Butch, died this last October due to medical issues relating to luekemia, pnuemonia, etc. He will be dearly missed. Uncle Butch was such a strong but gentle man. He was a battalion chief for the Monterey Fire Dept. with a big bushy mustache and a calm demeanor. Such a great guy!
I forgot my camera on this trip...so frustrating! Thank you cousins Naomi and Phoebe for sending these to me! I do not have any pictures on here of Butch's kids, my cousins Nicole, Matt, Jonathan, and Michael. Of course we are friends on Facebook:) It is an awkward thing...taking pictures at a funeral...but we all rarely see eachother and we wanted to document this memory!
His funeral service was held on the beach in Carmel on an absolutely beautiful day! My cousin, Matt, paddled out to sea to pour his ashes into the water as we all watched from the shore.

Auntie Margi(mom's siter) & Uncle Tom
My Uncle Butch was a huge Oregon Ducks fan! So is the rest of my mom's family! Most of them live in Oregon! Uncle Butch and his brother Jimmy have season passes to the football games. That is why we are all wearing green and gold:) He would have loved it!

Phoebe and Naomi's daughter Lola

We love you Uncle Butch.
