Memorial Day 2009

On Memorial Day we started our day off by going to a Memorial Day service in Pomona with the Smart family.

After the service, the kids shook a few hands of veterans and said thank you.

Then we were off to downtown Pomona for a snack at

Sunrize Donuts Burger & Seafood

Sounds sick!

I was not particularly thrilled about going here, but Rangi and Aaron overruled that decision! BUT...it was actually SO good! The donuts were awesome, Aaron enjoyed his fried shrimp, and Sara and I loved our egg, sausage, cheese croissant sandwich! We will definitely go back!

In the afternoon, we went swimming at Adam & Stacey's house

In the evening, our kids along with the neighbor kids went door to door with flags wishing everyone a Happy Memorial Day and recitited the pledge of allegience. It was Caden's idea and it was so cute and funny:)
